TERROIR

Agrelo is world renowned for its opulent and aromatically complex wines. It is located in the western foothills of the Andes mountains and is a part of the Lujan de Cuyo department.

The altitude at our estate is 980 m.a.s.l. At this height, sunlight is more intense and grapes ripen during warm days. These sunny days are followed by much cooler nights. The broad thermal amplitude in this region is the district´s main feature: it extends the ripening period and balances acidity.

Soils in Agrelo are sandy loam with a deeper layer of gravelly stones, made up from eroded, mineral-rich material from the slopes of the Andes. These soils have exceptional drainage. Using drip irrigation, viticulturists are able to carefully control yield and vigor, and produce small berries with an excellent concentration of sugars, acids and tannins.

Finca Las Divas

Gualtallary, Tupungato, Valle de Uco

Located at 1,350 meters above sea level, Finca Las Divas covers 72 hectares, with 40 dedicated to Malbec, Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, and Sauvignon Blanc. Strongly influenced by the cool, dry climate of the Andes, its soils are of alluvial origin, with sandy-loam texture interspersed with pebbles carried by the Las Tunas River. Poor in organic matter yet with excellent drainage, these soils encourage the vines to push their roots deep, seeking nutrients and complexity.

The pronounced thermal amplitude, altitude, and intense sunlight of Gualtallary allow grapes to develop thicker skins, concentrated aromas, and a natural acidity that gives our wines exceptional elegance, freshness, and longevity. Our vineyards are carefully tended year-round to ensure each harvest achieves its finest expression.

Finca Las Divas also pays tribute to legendary figures of art and performance—such as Marilyn Monroe and Édith Piaf. Among our varietals, Malbec honors Argentine divas of tango like Tita Merello and Che Papusa. The name reflects their character, demands, and unique personality—just like our grapes. We were also pioneers in planting Cabernet Franc in this region, which has become one of our signature varietals.
